DO DESPERATE TIMES REALLY CALL FOR THESE KINDS OF MEASURES

I know times are getting tough everywhere, but this might be going just a little too far...WHAT DO YOU THINK???

I was out running errands today, and I passed a local "restaurant" called "WHOTERS" (you know which one I'm talking about ; )
Anyway, there was a sign out front--"Do you think you have what it takes to be a "whoters" girl?" I had the most incredible urge to go in and with a straight face say, "I think I have what it takes". I called one of my good friends who is some years younger than I am (after all its's ONLY my age that's keeping me from applying and getting the job ; ) and asked her if she wanted to go with me. We had a good laugh. We wondered what they would say--they really can't discriminate because of our age--how about looks, weight, and lack of bewbs (come on you have to use your phonetic skills ; ). My friend, Kathy, then said what about location of bewbs ; )

In keeping with the tough times theme--how do you like this??? If you can't see it, click on the image IT'S PERFECT.

Isn't that the truth Miss Yvonne.

My hubby agrees...
that is just how it is where he works.

Once he worked for a family business only he was the only guy that wasn't related... guess who lost his job first? Similar to this poster.

I definitely would not be hired at
who-ters... cause my bewbs hang low. ;)

Wonderful post.

Of course we see that all the time around here. One guy with a shovel and about 5 to 6 others cheering him on.

Sad, sad times.

I was hoping to hear what Whoters said to you and your friend;)

LOL, I would have loved it if you had walked in there and told them you had what it takes.

Working in the corporate world, I can tell you that the picture you posted is far too accurate..hehe

I wouldn't be brave enough to do that, but I would love to hear what happens if you decide to try it.

I'm laughing at the comment your friend said regarding the location of the bewbs!!! Too funny!

It's nice to have a good laugh in the face of all that's happening. Thanks Yvonne!

Yvonne, you are HILARIOUS! I wish I had your sense of humor with the entire "Whoters" thing.

Oh, and the only correction to the picture is that the HR guy should be behind a computer. Because from what I've seen, they never get to step away...even though they've put in a 60 hour week.

I just don't see how those girls can be around those "supposedly awesome wings" all day long and not get fat. Unfortunately for me, after nursing three babies, my bewbs are no longer in their origial location or condition. Your post had me giggling today. Too funny.

Saddly yvonne, that picture depicts 3/4 of the city of winnipeg staff. Did you see the article in the sun today by tom broadbeck----hates city workers.
Lets go in mass to Whooters, might need to make some adjustments but hey I can hold a plate of wings in my hands and smile.

I kinda wish I'd been there with you...wouldn't it have been fun to apply, all the while biting the inside of our cheeks to keep from laughing?

You are hilarious! I would have paid good money to see you do something like that.

Kathy's line about location cracked me up. How would you like to hear that as a reason for not getting a job?

Yeah- you have to have boobs to work there and I don't. :( I would have gone with you to apply!!! lol
