Need Some Inspiration

It was 30 years ago today that Terry Fox started his Marathon of Hope. When I go out and run and feel a little tired, or sore, or whatever, I just think of him. How can I possibly complain. What an inspiration this young man was. A marathon every single day just seems impossible. I remember when we first moved to Canada and my kids participated in the Terry Fox run.

Yvonne,

This is definitely inspiration.
What an accomplishment... what a goal.

I continually admire you for your goals and the fact that you keep trying new things and train to run races.

YOU are amazing lady. I have missed you in the blog world... one of these days I will get back full time again. I did get some posts done this weekend... as I have been home 3 days. Headed back to B.ville this morning.

I have never heard of Terry Fox until I watched this. I was a teenager when he did his marathon a day.
This really brought tears to my eyes - Wow 26 miles a day on that artificial leg - What an amazing man. What a giving man. A sad but hopeful story.

This was very inspiring!

And look at the difference he made and is still making in people's lives - incredible!

I hadn't thought about the Terry Fox story in a long time. It seems that they spoke of him a lot at school--especially in PE (or Gym as we said). I think that I was 11 or 12 and didn't really GET the magnitude. Oh, who I wish that I had!

Thanks for sharing this video! And you are amazing for keeping all of your running goals. wow!

Growing up my parents had a set of "Value" books. One was about Terry Fox, and his running shoes talked to him... Anyway, it was my favorite of all the value books. Very inspirational. :)
