Here is our family in Park City for the 4th of July back in 2002--wow, that was 5 years ago. Of course, we are missing 2 darling grandsons and one beautiful daughter-in-law.

It's days like this that I'm very sad to not be in the U.S. I always loved the 4th of July. I'm so grateful for the freedom that we all enjoy and think that it is wonderful to be able to celebrate that on this very special day that commemorates our Independence.

Of course, in Canada we have Canada Day which is the celebration of the "birth" of Canada. In the 11 years that we have lived here, we have yet to stay up for the fireworks--shame on us. Somehow staying up to 10:00 for fireworks is a lot harder than going to a park and seeing them at around 8:00!!! I don't remember ever seeing the fireworks when we lived in Brampton.
